Suspension
Front
The front suspension is a fully independent double wishbone type. The suspension has adjustable Koni coil over shocks. Front suspension mounting is fully adjustable set-up with rose joints. The front suspension upper and lower control arms are CNC'd billet aluminum. The front upright is also CNC'd billet aluminum and uses Corvette C4 bearing hubs. Vintage Wheels pin drive adapters are used. Shocks are Koni adjustable height coilover.
Rear
The RCR rear suspension closely duplicates the original components and layout. Custom CNC'd billet aluminum hub carriers are used with C4 Corvette bearings and Vintage Wheels pin drive adapters. Jig welded trailing arms and lower reversed "A" arms locate the uprights. The configuration of each component closely replicates the original. Very few compromises have been made. All pivot bearings are adjustable spherical bearings.
I had the suspension parts media blasted using Bicarbonate of Soda, the latest in media blasting. It's very soft on aluminum and the end result looks great!
I sanded the trailing arms and cross links and then painted them gloss black
